I GOT NEXT FEATURE PT 1 – Ian Cofino

We had a great opportunity to get to interview the director along with some of the cast of the upcoming film “I Got Next”.  A documentary about Street Fighter tournaments and some of the top players.   The director of this awesome documentary that month, is Ian Cofino.  He initially thought of this idea as a cool senior project, and it grew into something far bigger.  A lot of the gaming communities are all a  buzz about this documentary.  There are big expectations for this documentary after the demise of a similar documentary called “Bang the Machine”, which lost most of its footage during 9/11.

We sat down with Ian and got to know him a little more, and found out that there will be another release of the documentary.  A longer one, hopefully full length that should be out sometime in the winter, after Ian graduates and has more free time on his hands.  The shorter release, a “teaser” to the feature length documentary will be out late May, so get excited!! It’s going to be out soon, while the feature length will be out late 2009 (after Ian graduates).
