Book Review: Transformers Exodus

Greetings and welcome to this review of Transformers Exodus. I would like to first point out that this is the book that we wish could have been the movie, instead of the “Dawson Creek” adaptation with explosions we have been fed lately in theaters. This book is the official history of the civil war that we know between the Autobots and Decepticons. The book is written by famed Author Alex Irvine’s whose novels include Buyout, The Narrows, A Scattering of Jades, also the novelization of Iron Man 2 movie. The fame author has also worked on the Daredevil Noir series and Hellstorm, so transform after jump.

There is always an opposition ready to stop the greatness in us all. In the eyes of Orion Pax, his journey begins with starting an alliance with a Gladiator  named Megatronous, which then leads to the beginning of a 25 year war between the Decepticons and Autobots, where he becomes Optimus Prime.

As you go through the book, you get to witness first hand and learn who is justified when Megatron screams out “Freedom is every Cybertronian’s right”! It strikes a nerve; making you wonder if was he really thinking about freedom or using words to manipulate the masses for domination?

Transfomers Exodus does the famous robot warriors justice answering many questions that fans have always wanted to know about the war. In my personal opinion, this is what the Transformer movies should have been, instead of that “Dawson Creek” style garbage that was in theaters. I am a fan however it would have been nice if the masses were given the back story of the Autobots vs. Decepticons too. That’s Hollywood for you; however this novel will fill in all the blanks. Transformers Exodus is out now at most bookstores for $19.95 and also check out Transformers War for Cybertron out for the PC, PS3, Wii and Xbox360. It is that time to transform and roll out, stay frosty!
