There has be a lot of information coming from Konami about some of the Silent Hill titles that we will be seeing in the near future. First the Silent Hill Collection that was recently announced looks to be a PS3 exclusive (according to a spec sheet) and the voice acting will be re-recorded. There’s no info if the same actors are coming back to reprise their roles or new actors will do the voices. Next, the PlayStation Vita exclusive game Silent Hill: Book of Memories will have some kind of multiplayer feature in it, a first ever for the franchise on consoles (there was the 2-player co-op Silent Hill: The Arcade released in Japan a few years ago). Not much more is known besides that but developers had mentioned a while back that they flirted with the idea of multiplayer in a Silent Hill setting so we’ll wee how this will work on the Vita. And finally some news tidbits for Silent Hill: Downpour. While teased on the Silent Hill Facebook page on Monday evening it was confirmed Tuesday that the game will support 3D, and it is looking at and October release. Rock group Korn will be recording a song for the game, although Dexter composer Dan Licht is still scoring it. And as if all that wasn’t enough we have some new screenshots and an eight minute video walkthrough of the E3 demo with commentary by Producers Tomm Hulett and Devin Shatsky. BAM! INFORMATION EXPLOSION!!!!
