Pre E3 2011: Sound Shapes (NGP)

It’s been a few years since we have seen anything new from Everyday Shooter creator Jonathan Mak but he has come back to show off a new creatively unique game for Sony’s NGP (or “PS Vita” not yet released name) called Sound Shapes.  Mak describes the new game as:

A musical instrument and a classic 2D platformer. You can use it to make music, but then you can “play” that music like it’s a video game.

The game has a level editor (think Little Big Planet) where every tool that used to make the game is available for the player to use and make their own levels. The NGP’s touchscreens come in real handy to place all the different elements in the game and the whole concept of of building levels from music looks to be something that sets itself apart from the normal games you will see on the NGP.
