I doubt now a days that many younger people know about the people we put on our money and I bet that many of then think Ben Franklin was a President of the USA (hint: he wasn’t). So why don’t we put people, real or not, that we are more familiar with on our money instead! I think artist James Charles has the right idea with his currency manipulations. Displaying in a gallery show in San Fransisco until June 4th the show, American Iconomics, shows the artist alterations of actual currency with well known contemporary pop culture icons. It is really amazing how he painstakingly altered this money to look like it was actually made at the U.S. Mint.
