In a surprising turn of events the infamous Japanese director of the upcoming Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney film, Takashi Miike has announced that the video game to film adaptation will be recieving a world wide release as well as localized subtitles and audio dubs. It’s an unusual move but at recent screenings of the film, despite the film being subtitled and it being based off a game, it appeared to have been enjoyed by the diverse audience so it could do well when it hits the US. So far the film looks just as quirky and fun as the games so this could be a surprise hit. The film hits theaters in Japan February 11th, no US release date has been announced yet.
