Nintendo 3DS XL

I knew it was coming.  I thought it would have been announced at E3, but I was wrong.  Introducing the new Nintendo 3DS XL! Releasing in North America on August 19 in Red and Blue for $199. I’ve also included shots of the Japanese colors — I’m bewildered by Nintendo of America’s refusal so far to release a White 3DS in the States.

90 percent larger screens (4.88” and 4.18”, compared to 4.18” and 3.02”),  3.5-6.5 hour battery life (versus 3 to 5 hours), 4GB SD card (versus 2GB), and real Home/Start/Select buttons. It also has more curves, matte surfaces, and a non-retractable stylus.

Unlike the Japanese and European versions, which release on July 28, the U.S. edition will come with an AC adapter. Charge dock sold separately, though.

Now I’m soooo torn cause I want the purple 3DS but I want an XL screen.
