NYCC 2012: Brian Ewing

Since Thursday was a press day at New York Comic Con I got to take my time and really walk through the artists booths. I came across artist Brian Ewing’s booth and got to chat with him a bit. I had been a fan of his work for a while and it was great letting him know how much his work is appreciated. Not only is the guy talented but he’s also really down to earth. He showed me a couple of his pieces he had at the show, including my fave his ‘Bride’ print (of which the “pumpkin” colored print is sold out). I wish I could have picked up that print but I did get some cool stickers and postcards. He also showed me a sick vinyl toy that he’s releasing (along with artist Hateball) called The Shub Zeroth:Metatype, which is this wicked looking goat head that just screams EVIL, that he was selling at the booth. He also had prints of the awesome rock posters that he has done in the past. Just an all around cool guy, if you are going to comic con on the final day just make sure to stop by and check out his work (booth 3320). If you can’t make it to the con, be sure to check out his website, or follow him on Tumbler and Twitter.
