CES is taking place out west and a lot of exciting stuff is being shown off. One of the biggest buzz stories coming out of CES is Valve’s proposed Steam Box gaming console. Although Valve swears that they are no where near revealing their console we can get a glimpse of what they may have in mind. Valve is working with Xi3 Corporation, which specializes in making micro consoles, computers that are powerful enough to run the biggest computer games in a small compact form. Right now the Xi3 computer, code named “Piston” can run Windows or Linux, and we know for a fact the Steam Box will use Linux. There is no definitive confirmation that Valve’s steam box will look like Xi3’s current computer but just seeing the potential of when this little beast can do is enough to dirty a lot of geek shorts! Check out the vid above and keep it locked here to any more news on the Steam Box.
