Review: Mario & Luigi: Dream Team (3DS)

It’s been quite awhile since I did a review, so I thought I would explain myself before I just jumped right into this review of Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.  I have been all consumed by with Animal Crossing, now that my addiction has leveled out I can finally play other games, but still maintain my house and town.  So that’s why I haven’t been reviewing other games, not to say that I haven’t been playing other games, but ACNL has been taking up a lot of my time.  With that said, here is my review of Mario & Luigi: Dream Team!

LOVEs:

  • Great use of 3D – I normally don’t say this because I rarely want to ever use it but this was a fun refreshing way to play the game
  • Battle sequences are much more active – like you don’t just sit there with Mario and Luigi you can actually move!
  • Luigi was the man not Mario – for a change – it is the Year of Luigi!
  • Ranking system interesting and makes you decide correctly

HATEs:

  • The tutorial – even after saying I know how to you use X feature, the game still proceeded to explain it to me anyway – What is the point in asking if you’re just going to explain it anyway?
  • Puzzles were just tooo fucking easy – like I get that Nintendo wants it to be like E for Everyone – but can I get a REAL challenge?
  • Usual storyline – now with Luigi sleeping! – I thought the story could have been a bit more – not sure what more but a bit more than what I got

All and all this version of the Mario & Luigi series is great and definitely a great edition to your 3DS collection!
