We got a chance to get play Slender: The Arrival, it was quite an experience to say the least.  Here is our review:

LOVEs:

  • Creates an an actual storyline, you play a character with a name who has a mission
  • Beautiful surroundings, much improved from the original game
  • Soundtrack is chilling, it definitely racks up the fear factor

HATEs:

  •  Despite having a “storyline” there are still a lot of plot holes. A lot of unanswered questions which left me wanting more.
  • Sometimes felt a little glitchy, had a hard time doing simple things like opening or closing a door.
  • While it’s intense at first you end up getting annoyed at the Slendy’s pursuit after repeating a level a couple of times, the scare factor wore off me kinda fast.

Overall it’s a fun game, it definitely expands upon the intensity first introduced with ‘Slenderman’. Although there is more of a story to this game the plot is a little vague but I imagine it’s done on purpose so that it can be set up for either DLC or another sequel. It’s a reccomend for those that want to get creeped out and want to sleep with the lights on.
