Prison Architect Sentenced to Nintendo Switch™, Available Now

The BAFTA-winning and multi-million selling Prison Architect begins its sentence on Nintendo Switch starting today, August 20th. Developed by Double Eleven (Prison Architect XB1/PS4, Songbringer XB1/PS4), the prison design and management simulator’s Nintendo Switch version includes the formerly released All Day and a Night and Psych Ward expansions. The popular Escape Mode, which lets players attempt a jailbreak through their own creations as a desperate inmate, is planned for release later this summer as an expanded DLC pack.

In Prison Architect, players build and manage their own maximum security prison to hold the most hardened of criminals. Originally released on PC in 2015 from developer and publisher Introversion Software, the game has sold more than 3 million copies worldwide and achieved critical acclaim among dozens of global media outlets.

The Nintendo Switch edition from developer and publisher Double Eleven includes a fully-fledged story mode exploring the gruesome and often convoluted matters of legal grey areas in the prison system, as well as a wildly in-depth sandbox mode featuring new in-game community features. These additions allow players to build, maintain and share their maximum security prisons with the tap of a button.
