Today, WorldGaming Network announced the start of its second annual Championship esports tournament for Rocket League, the sports-action hit video game with a community of more than 58 million players. Teams of three from the USA and Canada can now register for the Rocket League WGN North American Championship, a tournament that has more than $20,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs. The winner will receive $10,000 and will be awarded one of the coveted spots to compete in the DreamHack Pro Circuit Rocket League Montreal.
Online qualifiers for the Rocket League WGN North American Championship will run from June 29 to July 21, 2019, with playoffs going down online on July 27, 2019. The top seven teams from the playoffs will compete at the Grand Finals at FAN EXPO Canada, taking place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on August 24-25, 2019. An eighth and final team will be selected to compete from an exclusive open qualifier happening at FAN EXPO Canada on August 23-24.
Pre-registration for the tournament is available starting today at WorldGaming.com/RocketLeague. This tournament is open and eligible to all players in the USA and Canada who are 15 years of age and older.
